Diego Nunes drops his third in a row, this time to a Connecticut blue blood

Gary LaPlante is celebrating cageside right now at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. Matt Bessette has defeated former UFC standout Diego Nunes in the quartfinal of the season ten featherweight tournament in an outright slugfest and overall damn fun fight.

Okay, wait. Gary is saying he didn’t cheer, he doesn’t like some Tapout-wearing dudes who train with Royce Gracie (allegedly) and they are all in press row screaming with happiness over Bessette’s  come from behind win.

What happened to Nunes? He was getting hit with things that shouldn’t have been landing and he looked to be trying way too hard for being consistently a hair behind.

Hopefully he sticks with Bellator for another fight or two.
