One thing that I will say for Dana White, he is very passionate about the UFC and really does believe in the product that he pushes. That is really an important thing to remember and any of the success that the UFC has seen can probably date back to the fact that the UFC and Zuffa do have people genuinely passionate about the sport of MMA involved with it. That being said, we’ve heard Dana White talk about the UFC being bigger than the NFL and other sports before and the sad truth is that since those claims first surfaced years ago that ratings and PPV buys have only gone down, not up.
That doesn’t stop Dana White from arguing a lot with a reporter at a media luncheon today, as we can see below.
Dana now saying they will definitely be bigger than the NFL. He’s said it before, he admits. Doesn’t think he’s crazy.

I’m literally sitting between Dana and a reporter arguing. Offered my seat to reporter, but said “You make a good buffer.”

Dana went to “Fighting is in our DNA.” Reporter argues against it, saying that’s just not true.

Reporter tells Dana: “I love your passionate speech that was all bullshit.”

Dana says they beat the NBA. Reporter says not according to Harris poll. Dana says he’ll send him facts. “I’ll bury you in facts.”
