Dana White Calls UFC 172 the ‘Most Stacked Card in UFC History’

Dana White is a promoter, which means that it is his job to sell his product to the world and to make everyone care about it. That is something that we definitely understand. That being said, sometimes his hyperbole goes a bit haywire and he says things with a straight face that confuses us. The latest thing is that Dana White calls UFC 172 the most stacked card in UFC’s history.

Yes, that means that Dana White is selling UFC 172 to you as a bigger deal than UFC 100, UFC 168 and every other “most stacked card in UFC history.” Jon Jones vs. Glover Teixeira isn’t even a fight that fans want at this point, most fans want to see Jon Jones vs. Alexander Gustafsson II, honestly. So that right there negates Dana White’s hyperbole. The co-main is Phil Davis vs. Anthony Johnson, which is a pretty good fight, but not selling any PPVs. I don’t think I need to keep going.
