Conor McGregor vs. Andy Ogle lands on UFC on Fox Sports 1 1

After Conor McGregor’s super impressive performance in his UFC debut in April where he defeated Marcus Brimage by first round TKO, many fans are looking forward to see the potential Irish star in action again. Rumors swirled about him fighting in Boston on the first UFC on Fox Sports 1 card. That has come to fruition, as he’ll face off against Andy Ogle.

This comes as no surprise, as UFC president Dana White had talked about McGregor fighting in Boston due to the city’s strong Irish community.

McGregor, as aforementioned is coming off his first UFC win and is seen by many as a potential star and bright prospect. He’s currently riding a nine fight win streak, with every single one of those wins being via a form of finish. Before joining the ranks of the UFC, he was the lightweight and featherweight champion of Cage Warriors.

Ogle is 1-1 in the UFC, coming off a decision victory over once-hyped Josh Grispi at UFC on Fuel TV 7 in February. Prior to that, Ogle lost his octagon debut to Akira Corassani via a controversial split decision in September at UFC on Fuel TV 5.

Also on the debut card on Fox Sports 1 are a match between heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Travis Browne, among others.
