UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman is coming off of a huge win at UFC 175 against Lyoto Machida, but that doesn’t mean that much has changed for Weidman. Chris Weidman is still the one who has to call out challengers for his UFC Middleweight Championship, it seems, because there isn’t anything officially on the table just yet. Who does he want to fight next? Vitor Belfort, the man that he was originally scheduled to fight until TRT-gate went down.
“I do want to fight Vitor Belfort. He’s the guy who’s been floating around the top for awhile now. He’s another legend. I’ve kind of grew to enjoy fighting legends that I got into the sport watching and admiring. Obviously he has his drug test issue going on. I hope somehow he can figure it out and we can get him licensed and, I really don’t know how that’s working. But that’s the guy I do want to fight.”
That would be the third Brazilian legend in a row that Chris Weidman would have faced, what do you think? Is it time to get the Vitor Belfort title challenge out of the way? [source]
