Man, what else can be said about Cat Zingano other than it’s about time for her to catch a break? Cat Zingano was well on her way to challenging Ronda Rousey for the UFC Bantamweight Championship as well as coaching The Ultimate Fighter alongside Ronda when a knee injury not only sidelined her, but put her out of action for over a year. Her spot went to the woman that she defeated, Miesha Tate, while Cat could just sit by and watch.
Then in January of this year her husband, Mauricio Zingano, tragically passed away, which had to be yet another blow for the Colorado native. Now it looks like Cat Zingano is back in the gym and cleared to start training again. Hopefully we see Zingano back in the cage soon and that she finally gets that shot against Ronda Rousey when she’s ready.

Sarah Kaufman was quick to pounce on this opportunity.
