Brian Melancon Retires From MMA Due to Kidney Problems

It’s always sad to see a fighter forced to retire before their time, which is the case today with UFC fighter Brian Melancon. Brian Melancon announced via Twitter this morning that he has retired from MMA due to ongoing kidney problems that he’s been suffering from, which means that the fight with Robert Whittaker on December 7th is obviously off.

Brian Melancon’s last fight was in August against Kelvin Gastelum where he lost in the first round via submission.
