Brandon Vera vs. Ben Rothwell at heavyweight is targeted for UFC 164.

Well, well, well. Brandon Vera is moving back up to lightweight. Remember a few years ago when Brandon Vera said he wanted to be the first dual-weight champion from light heavyweight to heavyweight after beating up Frank Mir back in the day? I do. I remember that very clearly. Then, Brandon lost to TIm Sylvia and Fabricio Werdum and his slide began. Vera is now 1-3-1 with the no contest coming from his one-sided loss at the hands Thiago Silva (which was overturned due to Silva testing positive for performance enhancers) and the last time we saw him, he was giving Shogun Rua some troubles at UFC on FOX: Shogun vs. Vera… Before Shogun knocked him out.

Now he’s moving back, back up. To take on Ben Rothwell, the former IFL god and a guy who can’t win or lose more than once in a row in the UFC. Big Ben was looking great up until his encounter with Gabriel Gonzaga in January, then the former heavyweight contender submitted Rothwell with ease. Now, these two could be’s will be trying to revitalize their floundering careers in Milwaukee.

Should be good.

Here’s some highlights for the fun of it.
