I feel like it is fairly superfluous to post weigh-in results when you know what everyone’s weight class is and what basic range they weighed in at, but it seems vital to report when someone flubs up, which at UFC 168 there was only one flub up. That one mistake came at the hands of Dustin Poirier’s opponent, Diego Brandao, who came in at a whopping 153lbs at his first attempt to weigh in for a 145lbs fight. That is just bad no matter how you slice it.
According to Ariel Helwani Brandao on his second attempt made 151.5lbs and Poirier accepted a fine to keep the fight on. That means that Brandao has been fined 25% with that money split between the commission and Poirier.
Official: Brandao 151.5 lbs. Fight is on. 25 pct fine. Half to opponent. Half to commission.
