Bethe Correia Draws Shayna Baszler at UFC 176

It is ask and you shall receive in the UFC, apparently, especially for Bethe Correia, who just scored a victory over Jessamyn Duke. That victory led to a moment where she held up four fingers, then put one down and called out the rest of Ronda Rousey’s group. It looks like she’s hit the jackpot this time, because the UFC has booked her against Shayna Baszler at UFC 176. It’s like the UFC is embracing their inner professional wrestling organization or something here.

The only problem for Correia is that Shayna Baszler is a ten-plus year veteran of the sport and regarded as one of the best female fighters in the world. Sure, she has some losses, but those losses were only to the best-of-the-best, putting Shayna Baszler in an elite class. If Correia comes into this fight at UFC 176 looking the same way she did against Duke I’m not sure that we’ll see much of a fight.
