If you’ve been following MMA for a while, you know the name Vladimir Matyushenko quite well. His last run in the UFC helped to get him some more exposure, but hardcore fans have been talking about Matyushenko for a long time now. While the 42-year old might not have a lot of time left in him to step into the ring and throw down, he’s still ready to keep fighting and has signed with Bellator.
He’ll make his debut this summer as Bellator runs their “Summer Series” once again, which will consist of a four-man Heavyweight tournament and a four-man Light Heavyweight tournament, although Matyushenko is set to debut in a non-tournament bout. It is nice to see that Matyushenko’s storied career isn’t done yet and let’s hope that he gets one more run in the spotlight. [Source: MMAJunkie]
