So There Might Actually Be a Season Two of Bellator’s Fight Master After All

I’m not sure why, but it looks like Spike TV and Bellator are still in talks about producing a second season of Bellator’s Fight Master reality show. According to a report from MMAFighting.com there are some serious talks about tossing Eddie Alvarez, Michael Chandler, Quinton Jackson and Tito Ortiz in as the coaches for the show, with Randy Couture as the host.

The assumption is that this would lead to Bellator’s first PPV hosting the same two fights they tried to sell on a PPV that never happened. Oh Bellator. [link]

The cable network is currently holding internal discussions about filming a second season of the show with new Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, Michael Chandler, Quinton Jackson and Tito Ortiz serving as coaches, according to sources with knowledge of the situation. Randy Couture has also been discussed as the new host of the show, replacing Jimmy Smith.

Sources say the second season hasn’t been greenlit yet, but the network is expected to make a decision in the next few weeks. The show would air before the third Alvarez vs. Chandler fight, which is expected to take place in 2014.
