Anderson Silva & ‘Shogun’ Rua to Coach ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4’

Coaches for season four of ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil’ have been named and it may come as a surprise.

Former UFC Middleweight champion Anderson Silva will be coaching the fourth season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil’ opposite former UFC Light Heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua.

The news that Silva and Rua would be coaching against one another this season was initially reported by Globo and would later be confirmed by the UFC.

‘The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4’ will air on Globo in Brazil and will be available for streaming worldwide via UFC Fight Pass. This season is expected to include tournaments in both the Lightweight and Bantamweight divisions, but that has yet to be confirmed.

However, what was confirmed by the UFC is that following an elimination fight in Brazil, 16 fighters will travel to Las Vegas where the show will be filmed in Sin City.

Silva will meet Nick Diaz on January 31st in the main event of UFC 183, while Rua, who was initially slated to face Jimi Manuwa in the main event of UFC Fight Night 56 on November 8th, will now take on Ovince Saint Preux on that same date.

Silva and Rua are not expected to fight following the filming of the show. [source]
