Anderson Silva Responds to Fighters Picking Weidman at UFC 162

We get it, the UFC wants the fans and media to believe in Chris Weidman’s chances against Anderson Silva. It makes a lot of sense when you think about it, as most of Anderson’s previous challengers have been sold as good fighters who won’t be able to do a damned thing to Anderson. Then the fights happened and they were exactly that. The UFC is doing their damnedest to sell Chris Weidman as a legitimate threat and lots of media are buying it hook, line and sinker.

That’s fine, everyone has a job to do.

Anderson Silva made an appearance on UFC Live last night and was asked how he feels about lots of pros picking Weidman over himself and his response is pretty simple; it’s good to sell and hype the fight, but he’s still going to beat Weidman.

He was also asked about Jon Jones and his respectful comments towards him, but he seemed very open to taking the fight.
