Chael Sonnen has been talking about his upcoming coaching gig on The Ultimate Fighter Brazil for a while now, but not just about Wanderlei Silva. When he can cool off on cutting promos on Wanderlei he talks about how he wants former nemesis Anderson Silva to be an assistant coach on the upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil. It seems, at least for the time being, that Anderson Silva and Chael Sonnen have a bit of a better relationship at the moment, which is nice to see after they spent so much time trading barbs.
Anderson Silva was actually a bit humbled by the request and definitely considered it, but ultimately had to decline the offer due to geographical reasons. You see, Anderson, like many other UFC fighters from Brazil, spends most of his time in the United States now. That means that heading to Brazil for that sole purpose is a little bit out of the way for Anderson. So for those looking for a reason to care about The Ultimate Fighter Brazil and were looking forward to Chael and Anderson goofing around together, you’ll just have to wait for them to do a buddy cop movie instead.
