Alexander Shlemenko Criticizes the UFC’s Matchmaking

There aren’t many guys outside of the UFC that get or deserve a lot of attention, but Bellator Middleweight Champion Alexander Shlemenko should definitely be a guy that fans pay close attention to. At Bellator’s debut PPV Alexander Shlemenko is set to fight former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz and he isn’t holding back with his opinion. Alexander Shlemenko was critical of the UFC’s matchmaking in a recent interview, which you gotta admit, it makes sense. [source]

“Look at the UFC matchmaking for me it’s very incomprehensible situation.” Shlemenko told MMABoxing.ru. “Look at guys who get title shots. They give title shots anyone they want. In Bellator the situation is more fair. If you are one of the fighters in Grand Prix that means you have a chance to get a champion. In the UFC a guy who win many fights can be behind a guy who prefer talking. Chael Sonnen is a great example of that. So I think Bellator is more fair organization in this situation.”
