Alexander Gustafsson Officially Out of UFC on Fuel 9 Fight with Gegard Mousasi

Well, things were looking bleak for Alexander Gustofsson making it to the ring this weekend at UFC on Fuel 9 against Gegard Mousasi when he suffered a cut and reports from Sweden were that he wouldn’t get cleared, now they are officially saying that he is not cleared. Dana White did his best to put out the fire after the news broke this weekend, having Ariel Helwani issue a statement on his behalf that as far as he knew the fight was still on, but it wasn’t long for this world.

As of press time there is no new opponent selected from Mousasi, although Wanderlei Silva joked about filling in yesterday in a rather ridiculous April Fool’s joke. We’ll keep you updated with who Mousasi’s opponent will be. [source]
