After this weekend’s dismantling of UFC Light Heavyweight challenger Glover Teixeira it is very clear that it is time to give Jon Jones as big of a challenge that the UFC can give him. Who better than the man who pushed him to his limits in Alexander Gustafsson? The Jon Jones/Alexander Gustafsson rematch has been one that fans have been clamoring for since the original bout’s conclusion at UFC 165.
Jon Jones has recently stated that he was only going “80%” against Alexander Gustafsson the first time, but one has to question whether or not he truly believes that. I doubt that anyone would take unnecessary damage if they didn’t have to, especially a guy like Jones. According to Dana White this fight will go down in Europe some time this year, but will not be a Fight Pass event on European time, it will air at the usual time in the United States.
