Yushin Okami Makes His WSoF Debut on March 29th

Yushin Okami was one of the more awkward cuts from the UFC over the past few years, as he was always a top dog in the Middleweight division and still has a lot of fight left in him. The UFC can afford to keep about 500 fighters on the roster but can’t pay for a guy who couldn’t beat Anderson Silva and got a pretty okay paycheck, apparently. Poor Yushin Okami. That’s okay, though, as he is now employed by the UFC’s approved feeder league, World Series of Fighting.

World Series of Fighting issued a press release today announcing that Yushin Okami is slated to fight  Svetlozar Savov at World Series of Fighting 9 on March 29th. World Series of Fighting 9 will also be the debut of Rousimar Palhares after he was “banned” from the UFC for holding a submission for too long yet again. This will be an interesting card, that’s for sure.
