While it is not MMA related, exactly, it kind of is. Last night GLORY Sports International, the top Kickboxing promotion in the world, held GLORY 9 New York, which featured a one-night Light Heavyweight Tournament featuring Tyrone Spong as well as top Light Heavyweight in the world Danyo Ilunga and six more competitors.
There were also a number of Super Fights on the card, including two top ten Heavyweights colliding in Errol Zimmerman against Rico Verhoeven and the #3 Heavyweight in the world Daniel Ghita taking on fringe contender Brice Guidon. There were fireworks throughout the night, as all of the top bouts delivered, as did the tournament in front of a packed house at Hammerstein Ballroom.
