Albuquerque might be home to Greg Jackson and Mike Winkeljohn’s MMA camp, as well as the AMC show Breaking Bad, but one of the names being thrown around the MMA world recently has been Holly Holm, who has made a big name for herself here in Albuquerque over the past few years in Boxing, Kickboxing and MMA. MMA has been Holly Holm’s focus of late and she has her sights set on making her UFC debut in the very near future, according to Winkeljohn, they are just waiting for the right offer.
“We have talked to the UFC a few times already,” Winkeljohn told MMAFighting.com. “We’re just a little far apart on making the deal. We’re just waiting for the UFC to make the right deal, and we’re ready to go.”
She’ll fight for a sixth time professionally tonight for the Legend FC promotion, with two fights left on her Legend FC contract, although there is a clause that if the UFC wants Holly Holm, she’s free to go. [source]
