Charlie Brenneman Returns to the UFC at UFN 35

There is good news and bad news concerning January 15th’s Ultimate Fight Night 35. The bad news is that Jason High has ruptured his appendix and will be withdrawing from the fight with Beneil Dariush, but the good news is that Charlie Brenneman will be returning to the UFC on short notice to fight Beneil Dariush. Charlie Brenneman got his start in the UFC in 2010 in a win over Jason High and saw mixed results in the UFC before he was released in 2012 after two losses in a row.

Those losses were at Welterweight and since his departure from the UFC Charlie Brenneman has been fighting at Lightweight in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey area with four wins in a row. He makes his return to the UFC in just 13 days and the fight is still scheduled to be at Welterweight, which means he won’t have to face that bad of a cut as he’s been fighting at Lightweight. Here’s hoping to a better UFC run this time around for Charlie Brenneman. [source]
