Benson Henderson Picks Up Disputed Decision Over Thomson

I feel like every two, maybe three UFC events we have a discussion about “robberies” or judge’s decisions that make little sense. UFC on Fox 10 was no different as Benson Henderson and Josh Thomson squared off in a five round war only for Benson Henderson to be declared the winner, much to the fans’ dismay. It was a close fight, that’s for sure, as Thomson was having more success with his takedowns while Benson Henderson was controlling the fight on the feet.

For many, though, Josh Thomson won at least three rounds, if not four against the former UFC Lightweight Champion Benson Henderson. You have to give it up to Thomson as he broke his right hand early on in the fight and while it may have hindered his striking, it didn’t affect his grappling, which was on point. Hell, he even closed out the fourth round in the backpack position on Hendrson’s back looking for a choke and was waving to the fans and taunting.
