Vitor Belfort Claims Anderson Silva Was Acting Inappropriately in the Cage

We all know what happened when Vitor Belfort and Anderson Silva fought, Anderson Silva make quick work of Vitor with a front high kick to the face that sent him crashing to the mat and everyone excited about the front high kick to the face. Since then Vitor has been a master of TRT and almost-Chaeling his way into bigger and better fights.

Vitor was one of the fighters who quickly rushed to text Dana White asking for a title shot against Chris Weidman and why not? He may have not been able to stop Anderson Silva, but someone like Weidman he might have a better shot at. Well, he spoke out about Anderson Silva and it is all a matter of respect for Vitor, and he believes that Silva missed the boat on that.

“The first thing you learn (in martial arts) is respect. Your opponent across the other side of the mat, the Octagon, he is the most important person in that moment for you, because that’s the person who makes you compete, who gives you the pleasure to entertain people. But, I see martial arts not just from an entertainment side. I see it as a sport. And as a sport, like in NBA, NFL, we have a code of conduct. And that’s something that the UFC, we need to start having that. I think [Silva] really didn’t have any conduct on this fight. He acted inappropriately and it wasn’t the first time, so I hope this will be the last time that he does.”
