If you haven’t been paying attention to the sports news of late, you might have missed that there is currently a PED scandal going on with a Florida-based firm called Biogenesis. The Milwaukee Brewer’s Ryan Braun has been suspended for the rest of the year due to his link to Biogenesis and it looks like this might just be the tip of the iceberg for this scandal and that it very well could bleed over into MMA and Boxing in the near future.
According to a recent report, while no one has been named yet,
Fischer said he and associates have identified athletes from the NBA, NCAA, professional boxing, tennis and MMA, in addition to other professional baseball players who have not yet been identified.
Since this is a high-end PED thing, don’t expect it to be a lesser name in the UFC, it could very well be one of the highly-paid, upper-echelon fighters, which could make this story a lot more interesting.
