UFC Raises Threshold for Marijuana Testing on International Shows

All that I could think of while reading this was “poor Pat Healy,” as Pat Healy recently had a win and bonus ripped out of his hands due to testing positive for marijuana. The UFC has decided to raise the threshold which is considered improper for an amount of marijuana a fighter can have in their system. This raises it from 50 ng/mL to 150 ng/mL to fall in line with the recent update from WADA.

This is for international events going forward that the UFC handles drug testing themselves. On top of that, the CABMMA in Brazil will fall in line with these levels for their testing as well. Nevada’s NSAC is considering also following suit, but nothing is solid just yet. [Source: MMAJunkie]
