We all know by now that how Dana White selects who gets a title shot seems to involve how rabid his Twitter followers are or how the wind greets him each morning when he steps out of bed and over a passed out NickTheTooth. PPV sales seem to be paramount when it comes to booking a UFC Championship bout and there just might be a rubber match between Junior Dos Santos and Cain Valasquez, sooner rather than later.
Junior Dos Santos was originally slated to face Alistair Overeem at UFC 160, but Overeem had to pull out thanks to an unfortunate injury, which has left Mark Hunt to step in against the former UFC Heavyweight Champion. Originally, the winner of Dos Santos vs. Overeem was supposed to get a UFC Heavyweight Title shot, but things have seemed up-in-the-air since then. Now it appears that Dana White says that the winner will go on to face Cain Valasquez for the UFC Heavyweight Championship.
