Say what you will about Tito Ortiz, but Tito Ortiz was at one time a dominant UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, he also for some reason had kids with pornstar Jenna Jameson and has had one of the most publicly rocky and insane relationship in the public eye thanks to Twitter. That has to count for something, right?
He recently spoke about the UFC Hall of Fame and how his former multiple-time opponent Forrest Griffin was inducted into it, which he believes is justified due to him being a former Champion as well. But when it comes to Stephan Bonnar, his words aren’t as positive. MMAJunkie has his thoughts on it.
“That’s a big honor to be in the Hall of Fame,” Ortiz said. “It means you had a significance in the sport at one time or another. You look at that, and the Forrest and Stephan fight was a big step for the UFC, so do they deserve it? Possibly. But can one fight get you in the Hall of Fame? I don’t know. I guess that’s Dana’s decision.”
