Metamoris 4 is going down in just a couple of days on August 9th. Despite the controversy, it appears that Chael Sonnen will still be competing in the main event against Andre Galvao.
The card will also feature Dean Lister vs. Josh Barnett, Vinny Magalhaes vs. Keenan Cornelius, Saulo Ribeiro vs. Rodrigo “Comprido” Medeiros, Garry Tonon vs. Kit Dale, and a secret match, so secret that the competitors don’t even know their opponents.
For all Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioners and fans this has all the makings of another outstanding Metamoris card. And although Jiu-Jitsu doesn’t have the most widespread viewership, the additions of names attached to the UFC in Sonnen, Barnett, Lister and Magalhaes should bring in more MMA fans than Metamoris ever had before.
Aside from stacking the deck with the matches, Metamoris has also done a great job marketing with their trailers and countdown shows. They recently released part two of the Metamoris 4 trailer, featuring all 10 fighters listed on the card. (Video below.)
The event will take place in Los Angeles, California at the Peterson Automotive Museum, beginning at 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST and can be streamed on pay-per-view at Metmoris.com.
