Lion Fight 16 to Take Part in UFC International Fight Week

If you’ve been paying attention then you probably already know about Lion Fight muay thai that airs on AXS TV. In fact, they have an event at the end of the month, May 23rd, airing on AXS TV live. That’s not what we are here to talk about. While Lion Fight 15 might be this month, they are already looking to the future. Today they announced that Lion Fight 16 will take place on July 4th at the Pearl at the Palms in Las Vegas.

That’s not the big news, though. The big news is that they’ve partnered with the UFC to be an official part of UFC’s International Fight Week in Las Vegas. That means that Lion Fight 16 is an official part of the UFC International Fight Weeek itinerary, making a high-level muay thai event a UFC-approved affair. Wild, right? Lion Fight 16 will feature Kevin Ross and Michael Thompson battling for the Lion Fight Super Lightweight Championship, as well as the debut of Rungravee Sasiprasa and a co-main event slot for Tiffany Van Soest.
