Kelvin Gastelum Wins Close Decision Over Uriah Hall to Take TUF 17 Title

To say that there was a tidal wave of momentum behind Uriah Hall going into the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale, it would be a bit of an understatement. Uriah Hall has garnered a good deal of attention for this season of The Ultimate Fighter, even being labeled as the “next Anderson Silva,” as well as a legitimate contender to Anderson Silva’s Middleweight Championship.

That only helped for Kelvin Gastelum to focus his energies into being a spoiler and taking home the TUF 17 title and calling himself The Ultimate Fighter. It was a tough, back-and-forth fight involving some great slams by both guys, as well as some go-for-broke striking, but Kelvin just landed the cleaner strikes and fought the better fight. At the end of the fight his hand was raised and the Uriah Hall hype train was officially derailed.
