Georges St. Pierre was on Chael Sonnen’s You’re Welcome podcast this week. GSP went into detail about Conor McGregor and here’s what he had to say:
“Conor McGregror he could be smart or very dumb, it depends. I think Conor McGregor is very skilled, he can back what he says. What could be the strategy for Conor in that case could be like…Everyone that has fought Jose Aldo which is a little bit like when you (Chael Sonnon) fought Anderson Silva I believe.“
“Everyone that fought Anderson Silva before you did they were all respectful and kind of scared of him. You know at the point they kind of over respect him. They put an aura around him. And when you fight a guy and put an aura of invincibility around them, it affects you mentally…and you broke that.“
“Publicly saying that you don’t care you’re going to beat him and stuff…and nobody had ever done that. If there wouldn’t have been for that one mistake that you got caught with, you would have won that fight quite easily, as a matter of fact. I believe, what is happening, is that Conor McGregor is trying to do a similar thing like you did to Anderson Silva.“
