GLORY 13 Tokyo to Serve as Retirements for Peter Aerts, Remy Bonjasky and Semmy Schilt

GLORY 13 Tokyo is set to have GLORY’s Welterweight tournament, but let’s be honest here, Nieky Holzken isn’t selling tickets in Japan. Oh no, that is why GLORY has their sights set on some of the biggest names in Heavyweight Kickboxing to be on the card and to bid Japan a fond farewell. The retirements of Peter Aerts, Semmy Schilt and Remy Bonjasky have been spoken about for a while now, but it looks like, at least in the case of Aerts, it is going to be legitimate come GLORY 13.

As for Schilt and Remy, time will tell, but the Japanese press is leaning towards those three retiring together. If that means just not fighting in Japan anymore, I’m not sure, but this does change GLORY 13 by quite a bit. This makes this show a can’t miss for Kickboxing fans, as together there are TEN K-1 World Grand Prix Championships under those belts, as well as Schilt’s GLORY Grand Slam tournament.

Damn.
