The Four Horsewomen of MMA Have Their Own Theme Song

1

If you watched pro wrestling in the 80’s and 90’s you should be at least aware of the force that was the Four Horsemen. The Four Horsemen were built around Ric Flair and the Enforcer, Arn Anderson running roughshod over the professional wrestling world with a revolving cast of characters filling out the other two spots. Every wrestling fan has a favorite incarnation of the Four Horsemen, which only makes the fact that Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler, Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke call themselves the Four Horsewomen that much more awesome.

For a lot of hardline MMA fans the reference will either go over their head or just upset them, as a sport as pure as MMA doesn’t need pro wrestling references, but for the rest of us, it’s pretty awesome. The Four Horsewomen wouldn’t be a complete concept without a themesong, right? I was imagining them using the old WCW Four Horsemen theme because, well, it’s pretty much flawless and riddled with awesome memories, but that wouldn’t be original, right? Instead, guitar player Jen Leigh has tossed together her own version of it for them and it’s pretty incredible.
