When you think about TUEs handed out for TRT one of the first names that should come to your mind should be Dan Henderson. So for UFC 161 there were some questions, as the Manitoba Athletic Commission didn’t offer any TUEs (Therapeutic Use Exemptions) and were not going to, no matter what. This, apparently, forced Dan Henderson’s hand to withdraw his TUE request and to stop using TRT for a while to prepare for the fight.
“It didn’t look like they would approve it, so I just quit taking the testosterone,” Henderson told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com). “I stopped about six to eight weeks out. I was told by my doctor that wouldn’t be a problem at all. I wasn’t using that much, anyway.”
