The Pitbull Andrei Arlovski has had a long, strange career in the world of MMA. He came into prominence within the UFC during a time when their Heavyweight division was anything but stellar, having an incredible run leading to becoming the UFC Heavyweight Champion while Frank Mir was out with an injury. Then he ran into Tim Sylvia a few more times and Andrei Arlovski was in a weird place.
He ended up departing the UFC, where he got to have what many would consider a dream fight against Fedor Emelianenko. What’s crazy was that Andrei Arlovski looked pretty good until Fedor’s hand smashed him down to the mat. It was said that he was never the same again after that fight, but he’s been doing pretty well, so well, apparently, that the UFC wants him back.
Hell, World Series of Fighting granted him a release, so the UFC welcomes back Andrei Arlovski.
Welcome back Andrei Arlovski!
