Aleks Emelianenko Arrested, No Longer Fighting Cro Cop, Can LEGEND Coax Fedor Out of Retirement?

As we’ve all heard by now, Aleksander Emelianenko has found himself in some pretty serious trouble with the law. So much so that he was arrested yesterday and that LEGEND Fight Show has removed Emelianenko from the LEGEND 2: Invasion card, where he was supposed to fight Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic. That bout was set to headline and was going to serve as the perfect Russian main event, only now to fall apart.

Now there are rumblings of LEGEND in talks with his brother, Fedor Emelianenko to pull him out of retirement to fight Cro Cop, as they believe that is the only fight that “makes sense.” It seems like a stretch to me, but the owners of LEGEND do have deep pockets, deep enough to pay a fighter like Fedor while keeping M-1 Global happy, so only time will tell, I guess. Fedor Emelianenko was a special guest at the last event, as was Jon Jones, so it can be assumed that they already have a relationship with Fedor and M-1, but let the poor man stay retired, right?
