Titanfall adds in-game currency
Respawn has now added in game currency for Titanfall, which has led players to believe that microtransactions are on the way, but that doesn’t seem to be their motive behind it. Players can use to purchase new insignias and Burn Cards, but not any pay-to-win features. Due to be introduced with Update 5, credits will be awarded to players for completing matches, winning games, and completing daily challenges. Credits can then be spent in the game’s new Black Market.
“The primary goal of Burn Card packs is to give you more choice in the kinds of Burn Cards you get and to fit different play styles,” says Respawn. “The Cards you get are random, but you get a set of Cards you know you will enjoy using. Do you like using Ordnance more than Tactical Abilities? Sell the Ability Cards for Credits and buy an Ordnance Pack!”
