Jonatas taught us some takedowns today.
#1 Fake the guard pull and then shuffle and go for single leg picking the ankle
#2 Get him off balance using the "dance" move and use the outside foot to sweep out the leg
#3 Get him off balance then ouse the back leg to go between his and hook his back leg while you pick the other ankle.
Rolling was fun tonight but man was it tiring. We did 1-3-1-3 Standup and on the ground. Need to stop thinking so much I am pretty useless otherwise.

Comprido is back! Trained some No-Gi today and had an awesome time!
#1 How to take the back with one hook in. One hand behind the elbow and the other over the body hooking the thigh. Then you peel back and roll over your butt making sure to get your opponent between your legs with his butt on the ground and not over you. At the same time you sink the other hook in.
#2 another variation is to guillotine from same position. Make sure you keep your weight over your opponent and not your back on the ground.
Rolling was fun as hell today. We did a new drill where we flo rolled with nobody using any strength and not being able to stay in any position longer than three seconds. What was great about this is that you don't worry about getting tapped, you just try to get in the right position and use the right counters to attacks.

Rough class today and a lot of new faces. Just didn't feel like myself. Did some drilling after class to prepare for the blue belt test on Wednesday and I think everything is pretty much good to go. Comprido taught the class and here is what I do remember
#1 Half Guard Sweep by keeping your opponent close and then stretch out your legs so everyone is flat. Use your arm to bridge over and get the sweep
#2 Side control sweep where you use one arm on the hip and then bridge over with the other arm but then go the opposite direction to get to the back

Belt tested today with Nick and thought it went well. Then we rolled a bit which was fun. Forgot to log last week and could not remember exactly what we did but the rolls were good, that much I remember.

Worked on defense from the double leg today
#1 Sprawl and push the head straight down. Under the chin with 4 finger grip on one side and half nelson on the other. Roll and then get on your knees to finish. Kind of like an anaconda choke
#2 Push the head down but don't sprawl, step back with one leg. Then hip throw with a kick.
#3 Crazy Jonatas back take from the sprawl position. Use the belt and dig elbow into your opponents back. Coil your hips and then roll backwards to take the back.

Worked from mount today.
#1 One escape was from the high mount. Use your elbows to wiggle out a bit. When your opponent moves his weight forward to his knees. Straighten out one leg and then lift up on his ankle directly or by grabbing his pants tight and put him in the half guard.
#2 Normal Mount: get and your side without crossing your arm in front of your face and shrimp sideways not back to get your opponents hips on yours.
